| I'd have to say, Magic Knight Rayearth. 3 young 14-year-olds who have no idea who each other are are transported to a world called Cephiro, a magical place where the power to fight resides in one's will. The 3 girls are summoned there to triumph over many obstacles and save the captured Pillar of Cephiro, Princess Emeraude, or else the world will be over run by demons and all hell will break loose.
The best part is, it was one of the very first female anime/mangas that actually had robotic mechas and awesome fighting scenes and stuff. Really, it wasn't all that girly. | |
